Meet the Team

Director
Darren is the Managing Director at Sure Space.

One project that stands out to him is the daring excavation under a house in Glebe to craft a brand new level.

When he's not playing with bricks and beams, he’s either riding the waves on his kiteboard, gliding down snowy hills, or enjoying the wild outdoors with his family.

Foreman
Originally Darren’s only contract carpenter before he spent a couple of years working up north. Now that he've returned, he is running the passive house sites and enjoys spending his free time cruising around Newtown and Erko with his wife and their greyhound.

Foreman
He is woodwork/ timber craft master and brings some valuable experience to the team. Not only in building but also in detailed architectural stuff.

Foreman
David is a Foreman at Sure Space. He ensures every renovation runs smoothly from start to finish.

Outside of work, David enjoys staying fit at the gym and unwinding with some computer games. If there was one superpower he could choose for the jobsite, it would be premonition — wouldn't that be handy for avoiding surprises?

Carpenters
Daniel White is also our apprentice turned carpenter who brings a fresh perspective and plenty of energy to the Sure Space team.

Off the clock, Daniel’s passion is bouldering. If he’s not scaling walls, he’s planning his next climb. His ultimate on-site superpower would be working without caffeine (though his coffee and muesli bar combo suggests he’s not quite there yet).

Carpenters
Luca in one of the apprentices turned to carpenter at Sure Space.

Off duty, you’ll find him throwing punches in Muay Thai, flipping through pages of a good book, sketching, or turning old wood into snazzy furniture.

Labourer
Bahset is studying his construction management degree while getting some hands on experience on site.

Apprentice
Our first year apprentice. He is keen to learn and plays soccer on the weekends.

Business Assistant
Meet Christelle, our Business Assistant. The office all-rounder who helps keep things ticking along smoothly behind the scenes. She enjoys being involved in a bit of everything to help get the job done. When she isn't tackling the admin, you’ll likely find her catching a wave at the beach or watching a good movie.
